Ruth Good Richardson

Ruth Good Richardson of Middletown went home to be with God on Aug. 15, 2003, after a long illness. At the time of her death, she was a patient at Manorcare Health Center in Westerville, Ohio.

Ruth, known as Ruthie by her close friends, was born in Berea, Ky., on Oct. 8, 1922. Ruth was the oldest of the eight children born to William and Ethel McFarland.

She was preceded in death by her first husband, Faye’s father, Ivan Good (1969) and her second husband, Elwood Richardson (1996), as well as her parents; two sisters, Opal and Anna Lee; and a brother, Claude.

She is survived by a daughter, Faye (Ray) Gollihugh of Westerville; three grandchildren, Debra Gollihugh of Garwood, Texas, Gary (Joyce) Gollihugh of Sunbury, Ohio, and Karen (David) Hill of Columbus; and two great-grandchildren, Hannah and Garrett Gollihugh of Sunbury. She has four living brothers, Ralph (Helen) McFarland of Louisiana, Henry (Bobbie), Bill (Theresa) and David (Ailene), all of Florida. Ruth also leaves behind several nieces and nephews and many dear and faithful friends.

She was a charter member of Calvary Baptist Church on Jackson Lane in Middletown.

ARRANGEMENTS: Viewing will be held from 6 to 9 p.m. Monday, Aug. 18, 2003, at Breitenbach, McCoy, Leffler Funeral Home. The funeral will be held at Calvary Baptist Church, 1601 Jackson Lane in Middletown. A viewing period will begin at 9 a.m. with the services beginning at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 19. Pastor Art Wilson of Calvary Baptist will preside at the funeral and the graveside services. Interment will follow the funeral at Woodside Cemetery.
