Raymond T. Petrey

Raymond T. Petrey, 83, of Trenton, died Friday, Aug. 22, 2003, at Middletown Regional Hospital.

He was born July 6, 1920, in Berea, Ky., to the late James O. and Sarah F. (Tincher) Petrey.

Mr. Petrey worked for Delco as a mechanist for 30 years. He also served his country in the army during World War II. Raymond received the W.W.II Victory Medal, a Good Conduct Medal, a Bronze Star and the European African Middle Eastern Campaign Medal with 4 Bronze Stars. Raymond was a member of the VFW and he enjoyed woodworking.

He is survived by his daughter, Doris Johnson Guy, of Ypsilanti, Mich.; a sister, Elizabeth (Joseph) Moore, of Union; a brother-in-law, Harry McGuire, of Trenton, and many special friends, including Mr. and Mrs. James Mobley and their family.

Raymond was preceded in death by his wife, Gladys Marie Petrey, his parents and four brothers and two sisters.

ARRANGEMENTS: Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 26, at Wilson-Schramm-Spaulding Funeral Home (3805 Roosevelt Blvd. at Bonita Drive) with Pastor Eric Brazelton officiating. Visitation will be from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Monday, Aug. 25, at the funeral home. Interment will be at Miltonville Cemetery.
