Mary Elizabeth Bowlin Jones, 86, of Miller Drive, was born June 11, 1918, in Madison County, KY, and died Saturday, October 2, 2004, at her home.

She was a lifelong resident of Madison County and President, trustee, and charter member of the Gospel Barn in Paint Lick, KY. Mary was a devoted lifelong Christian from a very young age and throughout her entire life. She wrote and sang many gospel songs for the Lord.

She is survived by her five loving children, Walter H. Jones, and devoted daughter-in-law Myrtle, Katherine Rhodus, and devoted son-in-law Edgar, Mary Etta Willis and Gustin, all of Madison County, Doris J. Rusnak of Taylor, MI, and Geneva M. Rhodus ,devoted son-in-law Roy, of Franklin, OH. Her wonderful life leaves behind her forty-three grandchildren, sixty-nine great grandchildren and forty great, great grandchildren. She is also survived by six sisters, Dorothy Whitaker, Irene Clark, Louise Murphy, and Mae Jones of Madison County, Anna Stacey of Lexington, KY., Jenny Estes of Oklahoma. Two brothers, Earl Bowlin of Dayton, OH., and Walter Q. Bowlin of FL. Many loving brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, including a loving sister-in-law, Geneva Mobley, as well as many wonderful nieces, nephews and loving friends.

She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Monroe Jones, two daughters, Barbara Blair and Darlene Jones Moore; one son Strother H. Jones; two granddaughters, Janie Jones and Alycia Alexander, her parents, Frank and Sally Bowlin, her brother, Blevins Bowlin, and two sisters, Dora Jean and Susie Carol Bowlin.

Funeral services will be 2:00 P.M. Tuesday at the Oldham, Roberts & Powell Funeral Home with Bro. Frank Foster and Bro. C.L. Harper officiating. Burial will follow in the Madison County Memorial Gardens. Friends will be received after 5 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.

Pallbearers will be her grandsons, Walter Jones Jr., Elroy Thomas, Daniel Blanton, Stevie Rusnak, Conley Wayne Jones, Darrell Jones, Richard Rhodus, Anthony Blanton and Jimmy Jones. Honorary pallbearers will be Edgar Monroe Rhodus, Jack Harris Jones, Elmer Blanton, Allen Blanton, Scottie Monroe Foster, Dwayne Thomas, Roy Ellis Rhodus, Barry Ray Jones, James Moore and Edward L. Moore as well as her granddaughters. Connie Mulcahy, Bonnie Stone, Etta Anglin, Terina Anglin, Elizabeth Hiler, Shelley Abner, Elaine Davis, Terry Brandenburg, Lisa Marie Roberts, Naomi Webb, Sherry Murray, Tina Maciejewski, Eyvonne Keathley, Tammy Kirk, Janet Moore and Harriet Frasik.
