James “J.D.” Howard age 57 of Arthur Jackson Rd. in Berea, passed away Wednesday at Berea Hospital.

J.D. was born in Bear Wallow, Kentucky to the late Bentley Howard and Della Helton Sorrell. He was a retired truck driver from Oliver Trucking in Winchester and attended the Berea Evangelistic Center.

He is survived by his wife Joyce Patterson Howard; four children George Richardson, Melissa Richardson, Elizabeth Senkowski and Kimberly Howard all of Berea; two brothers Jody Shelton of Conway and Bill Howard of Indiana; and seven grandchildren James, Daniel, Logan, Kristal, Paige, Austin and Tyler.

In addition to his parents he was also preceded in death by one son Neil Richardson.

Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday, June 12, 2004 at Lakes Funeral Home in Berea with Bro. Jeff Osborne officiating. Burial will follow in the Pilot Knob Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday evening after 6:00 p.m. at the funeral home.

Pallbearers will be his nephews Jody Shelton, Roger Shelton, David Shelton, Casey Shelton, Jody Shelton II and Jerry Shelton.

Honorary bearers will be George Richardson, James Richardson, Daniel Richardson, Logan Richardson, Ken Senkowski and Barry Tackett.
