Joseph Norwood Crain, 77, of Ann Street in Irvine passed away Monday February 23, 2004 at his home. He was a native of Glendale, California, and was the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Jesse Jackson(Electria) Crain. He was a Heating and Air Condition Application designer and Engineer, a member of the First Christian Church, former trustee, and elder, and a Sunday School Teacher. Mr. Crain was a charter member of the National Rifleman's Association and a Veteran of the Korean War serving un the United States Airforce. He was a graduate of the University of Kentucky, and the Glendale College. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by a brother Jack Stanford Crain. He is survived by, Wife- Ann Calmes Crain, a sister in law- Wilma Crain, and a brother in law- Gerald (Gloria) Calmes. Memorial Services will be conducted Thursday February 26, 2004 at 11:00 at the First Christian Church with Dr. Thom Gibson, Dr. James A. Cox, and Reverend Chuck Kemp officiating. Visitation will be from 5-8 Wednesday February 25, 2004 at the Turpin Funeral Home. Private burial will be in the Richmond Cemetery.
