M. Alice Carpenter age 41 of Holcomb Rd. Paint Lick died Saturday July 24, 2004 at her home. Alice was a substitute school teacher, and member of the Mt. Tabor Baptist Church and worked at the greenhouses growing flowers and working the landscaping business that she and her husband Donald have. Alice was a graduate of EKU with a technical degree in Horticulture and Landscape Design.

Alice is survived by her husband Donald Wayne Carpenter of Paint Lick. Father Joe (Shirley M.) Kelly of Louisville. Mother Shirley Gaddes of Oregon. 2 daughters Kelly Carpenter and Kristine Marie Carpenter both of Paint Lick. 1 sister Judy Renzi of California. 6 brothers Eric Weidekamp of Tennessee. Mark Weidekamp of New Albany, IN. Michael Johnston of Louisville, KY. Joe Kelly Jr. Thomas Kelly and Charles Kelly all of Louisville, KY.

Funeral services will be Wednesday July 28, 2004 at 2:00 p.m. at Lakes Funeral Home with Rev. Owen Moody officiating. Alice will be entombed at the Berea Cemetery Mausoleum. Visitation will be Tuesday July 27, 2004 after 5:00 p.m. at the Lakes Funeral Home.
