Albert Gary “Brandy” Brandenburg, 57, of Okeechobee, Florida formally of Madison County, passed away Saturday June 26, 2004. He was born March 8, 1947 to Mr. and Mrs. Albert Gary (Lovertta Richardson) Brandenburg in Estill County. He was a retired United States ARMY Veteran serving in Vietnam. Mr. Brandenburg enjoyed spending time with friends and enjoyed the bluegrass music festivals. In addition to his mother he is preceded in death by a son Bennie Joe Brandenburg. He is survived by

Pallbearers will be Gene Thompson, Chuck McIntyre, Tommy Lamb, Paul Howard, Justin Gay, and Larry Williams. Honorary Pallbearers will be Donnie Abrams, Randy Powell, Gerald Thompson, Keith Carpenter, Gary Byrd, Jo McIntyre, Wendall Bentley, and Members of Kentucky Friends of the Bluegrass.

 

Funeral services will be conducted Friday July 2, 2004 at 11:00 AM at the Turpin Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 5:00 to 8:00 Thursday July 1, 2004 at the funeral home. Graveside services will be Friday July 2, 2004 at 1:30 at the Camp Nelson National Cemetery in Nicholasville, KY with fully military detail.
