Monday Family Cemetery
Ky Hwy 1247 S
Stanford, Kentucky
There were as many as 4 - 6 children
buried here during Civil War. This info from Matheny and Pence
families
who owned this farm later. Family was bothered by both Union and
Confederate forces. They hid people and
livestock in basement of the house. There are many interesting stories
that go with this old house. They were afraid
to travel to Buffalo Springs Cemetery, so these children were buried near
S.W. corner of house.
