Robert Begley
KNIGHTSTOWN, Ind. -- Robert Begley, age
80, formerly of Centerville, passed away peacefully early Monday
morning, May 2 , 2005, at his residence after an extended illness.
Born May 16, 1924, in Hyden, Ky., to William and Cynthia Begley, he
retired as owner/operator of his own business.
Robert was a World War II Navy veteran and was a member of Knightstown
Church of Christ.
Survivors include his wife of 57 years, Doris (Rice) Begley; two sons,
Thomas Begley and his wife Connie of Martinsville, Ind., and Ivan
Begley and his wife Cheryl of Liberty, Ind.; one daughter, Sharon Harsh
and her husband Don of Knightstown, Ind.; seven grandchildren, Lori Ann
Begley, Donald Robert Harsh, Doris Marie Tinkle, Amber Nicole Jones,
Patricia Marie Begley, Jerry Geeting and Tina Oliver; 10
great-grandchildren, Emily Nicole Begley, Dillon Begley, Scott Begley,
Bayley Tinkle, Mason Tinkle, Garrett Harsh, Tyler Harsh, Addison Jones,
Grace Adelyn Jones, Stephanie Geeting; one sister, Nannie Bailey of
Foster, Ky.; one brother, John R. Begley of Batavia, Ohio; and numerous
nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents and several brothers and
sisters.
Funeral service for Robert Begley will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday, May
5, 2005, at Mills Funeral Home, 405 E. Main St., Centerville. Pastor
Don Harsh will officiate and the eulogy will be given by Donald Robert
Harsh.Burial will be in Abington Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4-8
p.m. Wednesday, May 4, at the funeral home.
