BACK, Mary (Granny) 68, of Riverside, passed away Monday, November 1, 2004 at the Miami Valley Hospital. She was born February 9, 1936 in Hyden, Ky., daughter of the late Hiram Napier and Ora Griffith. She was preceded in death by her brothers Hiram Napier Jr., Elbert Napier, Pearl Collins, Kelly Collins; sister Fanny Felice. Survived by her loving husband of 52 years Carl Back Sr., two sons and daughters in law Carl Back Jr. and Susan of Riverside, Gary Back and Sandy of Huber Heights; one grandson Carl Jonathan Back and wife Kelli of Vandalia, four granddaughters Jenny Egts of Auburn, Ill., Jessica Back of Centerville, Amanda Back and Ashley Back of Huber Heights; two great grandsons Trevor Ray Back of Centerville and Carl Zachary Back of Vandalia; one brother Jim Collins of Hyden, Ky.; two sisters and brother in law Frances Morgan and Aden of Alexandria, Al., Irene Phillips of Dayton; seven sisters in law Genevieve Collins of Richmond, In., Mattie Collins of Cincinnati, Wanda Napier of Dayton, Hazel Lawson of Avilla, In., Faye and Burt Gunnell of Mt. Sterling, Ky., Betty Purvis of Ft. Wayne, In., Shirley and Floyd Lawson of Ft. Wayne, In.; two brothers in law William and Sue Back of Dunkirk, In., Pearl and Gracie Back of Mt. Sterling, Ky.; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Funeral services will be held 1 PM Friday at the Tobias Funeral Home, Beavercreek Chapel, 3970 Dayton-Xenia Rd. at Grange Hall Rd. Pastor Scott Van Dyke officiating. Interment Woodland Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home from 5-8 PM Thursday.
