Jobe (Shady Grove) Cemetery

Located at Shady Grove (Upper Twin Branch) in

Lawrence County, Kentucky. This was originally called the

Jobe Cemetery but in later years has been referred to at times

as the Shady Grove because of its location. Info in parenthesis

from other sources. Copied 1980. Updated October 1999 by

Regina Diamond Tackett, great granddaughter of Cordelia

Chaffin Jobe and great-great granddaughter of Elisha W. and

Jane Sergent Jobe, all buried here. Listing was not done in

alphabetical order, but as copied, leaving family units together

when possible. Many graves in the center of this cemetery are

marked with cement blocks which had recently replaced the

old field stones. This is probably the older part of the cemetery

and has the oldest Jobe ancestors here.
