In the name of God Amen
I, George Farris of the County of Laurel, and State of Kentucky, being well advanced in age and know all men must die, do ordain and constitute this my last will and testament,

First, I resign my body and spirit to that Great benificant ?  being that gave them with thankful acknowledge for the many blessings confered.

Second, I request all my just debts if any there be to be faithfully paid.

Third, I request an appraisement of my personal estate be made according to law and an inventory of the same made of record. I further allow my executor to make sale of so much of my personal estate as will discharge all debts that may be against the same.

Fourth, I will and bequeath to my beloved wife Patsy Farris, one third of my personal estate for her proper use and benifit during her natural life, and further I will and bequeath to my beloved wife the dwelling house where I now live and two hundred acres of land with all the appertainones ? therein to belonging for her use and benifit, and for the use of supporting and schooling my children that is under age, under the control and direction of my executor heretofore to be appointed.

Fifth, I will and bequeath to my son Amos Farris, his mare and saddle, and a bed and furniture, the same being equal to the portions given my son, John Farris and daughters, Jane, Philiss, and Faithy Benton.

Sixth, I will and bequeath to my seven younger children to wit; James M. Farris, Betty Ann Farris, Patty Farris, George W. Farris, Phebe H. Farris, Jonathan S. Farris, and Presley A. Farris Seventy five dollars to be paid to each one as they come of age, to be paid in the following manner, to my sons James, George, Jonathan, and Presley a horse and saddle worth sixty dollars, and fifteen dollars in other properties. And my three daughters, Betty Ann, Patty, and Phebe each to be paid in a bed and furniture as it's value and other property to the amount of their portion and if my property----- is not sufficebt to meet the bequeth here mentioned, my excutors are hereby directed to receive any monies that may become due to me and apply the same and ------the-----if needed.

Seventh, I further allow after the decease of Patty Farris, my beloved wife that my excutor make sale of my land and all the appertenances ? thereunto belonging and any other property that may be left of my said estate. After first discharging all legacies then an equal division be made between my eleven children before named.

And lastly, I appoint Willis Benton, Amos Farris, and James McNull of Laurel County, State of Kentucky my excutors with a request that they faithfully excute this my last will and testament. In testimony whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal the 7th day of November in the year of our Lord 1830.

I Lot Pittman, Clerk of the court for the County aforesaid do certify that the foregoing will was produced in court at the Feburary Term, thereof and proved by the oaths of James McNull, and John Farris two of the witness thereto and ordered to be recorded which is done accordingly. Given under my hand the 6th day of Febuary, 1833.
