Maggie H. Taylor, 91, of Harris Cemetery Road, London, Kentucky, died Friday, October 4, 2002, at the Baptist Regional Medical Center in Corbin, Kentucky.
Born April 18, 1911, in Laurel County, Kentucky, she was a housewife and member
of the Blackwater Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Lucinda (Brummett) Ivy and William
Ivy; her husband, Sam Taylor; a son, Walter Homer Taylor; three sisters, Rose
Powell, Sarah McKnight, and Lucy Robinson; and four brothers, Lewis Ivy, Joe
Ivy, Gilbert Ivy and Hiram Sasser.
Survivors include a daughter, Lillian Gregory and husband Estill of London,
Kentucky; two sons, Johnie Roy Taylor and wife Betty of Lily, Kentucky, and Sam
Taylor Jr. and wife Tina of London, Kentucky; 19 grandchildren; and 37
great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were conducted at 11 a.m. Monday, October 7, at the London
Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Terry Gabbard and Bro. Bill Wagers officiating.
Burial followed in the Taylor Cemetery at Blackwater in Laurel County.
Pallbearers were her grandchildren.
