Freda Langdon, 90, of Highway 1023, Lily, Kentucky, died Saturday, August 24, 2002, at the Hillcrest Nursing Home in Corbin, Kentucky.
Born June 3, 1912, in Clay County, Kentucky, she was a housewife.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Maude (Combs) Asher and Burgan Asher;
her husband, Heron Langdon; and two brothers, Curtis Asher and Dishman Asher.
Survivors include five children, Essie Harp of Rosewell, Georgia, Kizzie Cornett
and Betty Owens, both of London, Kentucky, Joyce Gorham of Okeechobee, Florida,
and Etta Grimes of Boca Raton, Florida; four sisters, Marie Middledorf of
Louisville, Kentucky, Pearl Collett of London, Kentucky, Hazel Passmore and
Verona Slayton, both of Cincinnati, Ohio; a brother, Russell Asher of
Louisville, Kentucky; 14 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and one
great-great-grandchild.
Funeral services were conducted at 11 a.m. Tuesday, August 27, at the
House-Rawlings Funeral Home Chapel.
Burial followed in the Cumberland Memorial Gardens at Lily, Kentucky.
