MR. FRED W. FREY DIES AT HOME IN
PITTSBURG
Mr. Fredrick William Frey, 83, years old, died at 3 o'clock Friday morning at
his home in Pittsburg of infirmities.
Funeral services were held Sunday afternoon at the St. Johns church at Helvetia,
with the Revs. Morgan Williams and Kay Williams officiating. Interment followed
in the church cemetery by House & McHargue.
Mr. Frey was born in Switzerland Oct. 2, 1853, and in 1882 migrated to this
county where he has since lived. He engaged in mining until several years ago
when illness forced him to retire.
Surviving him are eight children Herman Frey and Arnold Frey, of Staunton, Ill.,
Otto Frey and Miss Emily Frey of East Bernstadt, Mesdams. Alfred Walter and Carl
Schott of Girard, Ill., and Mrs. Mike Schott of Auburn,Ill.
