Evelene Allen, 68, of Somerset Road, London, Kentucky, died Thursday, February 20, 2003, at the Marymount Medical Center in London.

Born February 26, 1934, in Laurel County, Kentucky, she was a homemaker.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Betty Stines and Noah Stines; her husband, Oliver Allen; four children, Everett Allen, Dallas Allen, Brian Allen and Brenda Allen; and four siblings, Edna Stines, R.J. Stines, Jeff Stines and Clarence Stines.

Survivors include five sons, Delbert Allen, Ricky Allen, Wilburn Allen and Wayne Bruner, all of London, Kentucky, and Justin Allen of Hamilton, Ohio; six daughters, Juanita Caldwell, Shirlene Johnson and Jitanna Proffitt, all of London, Kentucky; Louise Caldwell, Rosetta Chambers and Reba Gibson, all of Hamilton, Ohio; two sisters, Edith Estes and Ruby Parks, both of Hamilton, Ohio; two brothers, Frances Stines and Junior Stines, both of Hamilton, Ohio; and a special friend, Clyde Bruner of London, Kentucky.

Funeral services were conducted at 1 p.m. Sunday, February 23, at the Bowling Funeral Home Chapel with Delmer Gross and Mark Hisle officiating.

Burial followed in the Liberty Cemetery.
