Beulah Golden Mays Nantz, 80, of Watt Nantz Road, East Bernstadt, Kentucky, died Thursday, January 23, 2003, at her residence.
A native of Laurel County, she was born March 4, 1922, the daughter of the late
Eli and Mattie (Carpenter) Mays. She was a homemaker and member of the Pilgrims
Rest Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Watt Nantz; and two brothers, James
Mays, and Gene Mays.
Mrs. Nantz is survived by four daughters, Betty Allen and husband Ray of London,
Kentucky, Jeannie Browning and husband Jason of East Bernstadt, Kentucky, Oma
Combs and husband Conley of Hamilton, Ohio, and Sherry Garland and husband Danny
of London, Kentucky; two sons, Garry Nantz and wife Carlene of London, Kentucky,
and Jerry Nantz and wife Lisa of East Bernstadt, Kentucky; two sisters, Lois
Benjamin and Olla Fedrele, both of Hamilton, Ohio; 10 grandchildren, Delane
Browning, Cary Nantz Bruner, Darrell Combs, Harold Combs, Danny Combs, Chris
Garland, Shane Garland, Sara Nantz and Jarred Wade Nantz; and seven
great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were conducted at 3 p.m. Sunday, January 26, at the Bowling
Funeral Home Chapel with Norman Brock and Denny McCowan officiating.
Burial followed in the Nantz Cemetery at East Bernstadt.
Pallbearers were Delane Browning, Darrell Combs, Harold Combs, Danny Combs,
Chris Garland, Shane Garland, and Ron Smith.
