My wife's mother was raised on a farm on the 3L Highway which is next to the hill of I 471 to the south of Robke Chevrolet. The house burnt down in the 1970's but was raided by Morgan's Raiders during the Civil War. We wanted a nice picture of the house and was sent a little bit of history from Berea College which had an old 1930 article from an old magazine, Kentucky Progress.

The Dinser Family mentioned in the article is my wife's great grandfather, John Dinser. His son in law was Charles Tombraegel, my wife's grandfather. They farmed the plot and took the produce and flowers to market in Covington.

This picture was taken between 1904 -1910. The girl standing on the left next to the nun is Clara Rump Eilers. She was born 1895 in Sanfordtown. My cousin and I suspect the 3 little girls front row on the left are Gripshovers: Katherine, Mary and Elizabeth but we can not prove it. It would be wonderful if someone else has a copy with names.

This picture was taken in the 1930's. Edna Eilers is the daughter of Clara in the 1st picture. Clara is my Great Aunt and Mary Gripshover is my Grandmother.
