W. NUNN SAYERS PASSES AWAY (Kentucky Post, March 3, 1903, pg. 1) Was One of the Best-Known Traveling Men in Kentucky W. Nunn Sayers, for years one of the best known shoe salesmen of Kentucky, and a prominent citizen of Covington, died Monday night at his late residence, 723 Scott Street, after a lingering illness. He was 50 years old, and leaves a family of brothers and sisters, J. Watson Sayers, John D. Sayers, R. Henry Sayers, Miss Nannie Sayers and Mrs. Mary Cambron. For years Mr. Sayers traveled for Durrell Bros., of Cincinnati and was known throughout Kentucky by the shoe trade as an affable gentleman and warm friend. He was a prominent member of the United Commercial Travelers. The funeral will take place from the Scott Street M. E. Church, Thursday morning at 10 o'clock. Services will be conducted by the pastor, Rev. Mr. Darlington. Funeral Arrangements will be in charge of Harbick & Rose. FUNERAL OF W. N. SAYERS (Kentucky Post, March 5, 1903 pg. 1) The funeral of W. Nunn Sayers, of 723 Scott Street, Covington, who died Monday night, took place Thursday morning from the Scott Street M. E. Church. The pastor, Rev. Mr. Darlington paid a tribute to the memory of the deceased, who was a prominent citizen of Covington and a well known salesman. The United Commercial Travelers, of which he was a member, attended the services in a body. The burial was in Highland Cemetery by Harbick & Rose. Note: William Nunn Sayers was born in 1852, the son of William Sayers and Jemima Jane Theoblad.
