S. C. SAYERS DEAD


        Samuel Crockett Sayers, 84, a pioneer resident of Boone County, died Sunday evening at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Annie E. Sleet, Verona, Ky.  He was for a number of years a resident of Kenton County, having served in the Legislature as a Representative.  He was one of the first Directors of the old Covington & Lexington Turnpike 
Company.  He was also one of the charter members of the Boone County Fair Association.  He leaves three children to mourn his loss --- Mr. W. Sayers of Cowda, Ill., Mrs. A. E. Sleet of 
Verona, and Mrs. E. N. Bannister of Sherman, Ky.
