 QUILLMAN HILL CEMETERY

"This is another Quillman Cemetery I was hoping would not be lost.  I have learned that the remains here are being moved to Hillcrest Cemetery.  However, not all the graves will ever be found since many don't have stones. This is being done so that they can build a house over where the graves are presently located.

Here are the directions to find this cemetery:   From New Cut Road in front of Iroquois Park, go down New Cut Road and turn right at the Pizza Hut onto Palatka Road. Go straight on Palatka and turn left onto St Andrews Church Road.  Go pass Doss High School to the light and turn right at the gas station onto Blanton Lane.  Go past the apartments on the right and turn right onto Oakhill Valley Road.  Go straight until you see Oakhill Estates subdivision.  Drive up the hill and turn right.  You will see an Oakhill Estate Billboard with house lot numbers on it.  Lot 77 is the Quillman Cemetery which is across from the Oakhill Estate billboard. It's surrounded by trees, grass, weeds, etc. but the Quillman Cemetery sign is a wooden sign in front of the cemetery.

These are pictures of the Cemetery before it was somewhat cleaned up, and also afterwards.".... Marguerite Miller.
