Ironton Register, Feb. 23, 1860 - The bill to erect a new county - the county of Boyd, named for Hon. Lynn Boyd - out of Greenup and Carter, has passed both branches of the Kentucky Legislature, the County Seat to be Catlettsburg. The lower line, we understand, is a short distance above Amanda Furnace.
The Ironton Register is a Lawrence County, OH newspaper.
