Kentucky: A History of the State, Battle, Perrin, & Kniffin, 5th ed., 1887, Woodford Co. WILLIAM LANDSBERG & SONS are general merchants at Versailles, and have a mammoth establishment, consisting of three stores with twelve separate departments, devoted to dry goods, clothing, jewelry, boots, shoes, notions, and an infinite variety of merchandise, under the care of some twenty clerks. The sons are Henry and Theodore, both natives of Tennessee. Henry was born in 1853, and entered his father's store when it was started in Versailles in 1866, and to him is principally due the great success with which the firm has met, honesty and liberality toward his customers having ever been his motto. He was educated at Kentucky University, is a Free Mason and a member of the I.O.O.F. Theodore Landsberg was born January 16, 1855, graduated from Transylvania University, Lexington, and read law under C. L. Wedding, of Evansville, Ind. In 1876 he formed a partnership with his preceptor, and remained in the practice of the law until 1880, when he entered as partner in the house of Landsberg and Sons. He also is a member of the Masonic order. Landsberg Wedding = Lexington-Fayette-KY TN IN http://www.rootsweb.com/~kygenweb/kybiog/woodford/landsberg.w.txt
