Kentucky: A History of the State, Battle, Perrin, & Kniffin, 5th ed., 1887, Woodford Co. ISAAC N. GRAY, born February 4, 1831, is the fifth son of Milton and Elizabeth (Mott) Gray, natives of Woodford County, Ky., and Virginia, respectively. Milton Gray, who was born in 1797, died in 1874. Jonathan Gray, the grandfather of Isaac N. Gray, was a native of Pennsylvania of English descent, came to Woodford County, Ky., about 1790, and married a Miss Yates, of Virginia. Isaac N. Gray was reared on the same farm on which his father was reared, and was educated in the private schools of this county. In June, 1870, he married Miss Fannie A., daughter of William M. and Priscilla Collins Morris, natives, respectively, of Woodford and Jessamine Counties. There have been born to Mr. and Mrs. Gray nine children of whom three are living: David N., Fannie Priscilla and Louis Collins. Mr. Gray is the owner of 133 acres of good farming land, and with his wife is a member of the Baptist Church.
