However, the first line indicates that he is of Logan County. THOMAS J. SHANNON, Logan County, was born December 18, 1801, and is a son of John and Margaret (Marrs) Shannon, the former a native of Virginia, and immigrated to this State in 1787, and to this neiborhood in 1810. Thomas J. lived here for sixty-two years, then abandoned the Shakers and moved to Auburn, where he lived nine years, and inthe meantime married a daughter of Benjamin Woodward. He was a trader and farmer and held public office. He returned here in 1881, and again united with the Shakers.
