Kentucky: A History of the State, Battle, Perrin, & Kniffin, 3rd ed., 1886. Warren County. DAVID HALL, Warren County, is a native of North Carolina. He was born in 1830, and is a son of David and Martha (Hays) Hall, of English descent. His father is still living and is a farmer in North Carolina. Subject, after arriving at manhood, married Miss ------ Pirtle, a daughter of Elijah Pirtle, in 1854. They have two children, J. H. and Priscilla; the latter the wife of S. T. Pipkins, of Macon County, Tenn. Subject came from North Carolina to Tennessee, where he lived for eighteen years; he then removed to Kentucky, and has resided in the State ever since, except one year spent in the "Lone Star State." He has always followed farming and owns a good farm where he now lives. He is a member of the Missionary Baptist Church, and votes the Democratic ticket.
