Kentucky: A History of the State, Battle, Perrin, & Kniffin, 3rd ed., 1886. Warren County. JOHN W. EUBANK was born in Simpson County, Ky., in 1833. He is a son of A. B. and Mary (White) Eubank, and is of English descent. His father was also born in Simpson County in 1810, and lived and died in that county, his death occurring in 1845. His mother was born in Warren County, Ky., and died in Simpson County. The Eubank family came from Virginia to Kentucky in the latter part of the last century. John W. was reared on a farm and attended the country schools. He remained at home until sixteen years of age and then went to live with K. D. Nicoll, his guardian. Mr. Eubank began farming and trading for himself before he was twenty-one years of age, and this business he has since continued. In 1860 he came to Warren County, and settled eight miles south of Bowling Green and resided until 1881, when he came to Bowling Green and here has since resided. In 1881 he engaged in the livery business about two and one half years, with D. J. Phillips. Mr. Eubank married, in 1859, Miss A. F. Potter, daughter of Moses Potter. To this marriage have been born five children: William A., Bernice P., Mattie B., Nellia A. and John M. Mr. Eubank is a Democrat and Mason, is one of the most successful men of this county, and the family is well known and highly respected. Mrs. Eubank is a member of the Baptist Church.
