JOSIAH HORN was an early settler in what is now Stewart county, Tenn.  He
was a member, and perhaps the pastor, of Blooming Grove church, in that
county.  This church was constituted, in 1805, and was probably gathered
by Mr. Horn.  He was in the constitution of Red River Association, in
1807, and preached the introductory sermon before that body in 1810.  In
1813, he entered into the organization of Little River Association.  In
this body he held a respectable position, till 1830, when his name
disappears from the records.  He appears to have been a good and useful
preacher of moderate, though respectable gifts.
