SNYDER, a member of the Richwood Distilling Company, was born in Kentucky in 1845, to William and Delia (Hogland) Snyder. The former was born in Trimble County, where he yet resides. Our subject began life without any capital, but by shrewd trading and industry he has accumulated a fine property, and ranks among the best business men of Trimble County. He owns 125 acres of well improved land in Carroll County, has an interest in the Beechwood Distillery, of which he was at one time sole owner. He married, in 1872, Miss Mary L. Crawford, daughter of Penelius and Carolina (Van Buren) Crawford, an own cousin of Martin Van Buren. Three children were born to Mr. and Mrs. Snyder: James L., Paul C., and Clifford.
