Kentucky: A History of the State, Battle, Perrin, & Kniffin, 6th ed., 1887, Trimble Co. WESLEY ROWLETT was born September 30, 1843, in Trimble County, Ky., the son of William T. and Susan (Hood) Rowlett. The former was born in Virginia, moved to Kentucky in 1820, and settled in Trimble County. Our subject received a common school education, and has devoted all his life to farming and milling, at which he has been very successful, owning 120 acres of land with grist-mill near Milton. He married, October 24, 1866, Miss Lucinda J. Perkenson, daughter of Adolph and Elizabeth Perkenson, a native of Indiana, but who came to Kentucky at an early age. Mr. Rowlett enlisted in the Confederate Army, in the Fourth Kentucky under Col. Giltner; served until the close of the war, and received an honorable discharge. Politically he is a Democrat.
