Kentucky: A History of the State, Battle, Perrin, & Kniffin, 6th ed., 1887, Trimble Co. ROBERT H. HAYDON, M. D., was born in Montgomery County, Ky., September 6, 1862, the eldest of three children born to John W. and Arma A. (Oden) Haydon, natives of Clark County, Ky. The father is now a farmer in Montgomery County. Our subject was reared on the farm and educated at the Kentucky Wesleyan College, at Millersburg, from which he graduated with high honors in 1884. Immediately afterward he commenced the study of medicine with Dr. J. A. Shirley, of Grassy Lick, Ky., and the same year entered the University of Louisville, from which he graduated in 1886. He then practiced his profession a short time in his native county, but in January, 1887, moved to Milton, his present location, where he has a lucrative practice. May 11, 1887, he married Mary H. McClintock, daughter of Alexander McClintock, of Millersburg, Ky. Dr. Haydon is a member of the Methodist Episcopal Church South, and his wife of the Christian Church. Politically he is a Democrat.
