History of Todd County, Kentucky, ed. J. H. Battle, 1884, F. A. Battey Publishing Co., 1884, Page 314, (Elkton Precinct) L. P. TRABUE was born in Old Allensville, Todd County, Ky., August 2, 1857, and is a son of Dr. B. M. and F. E. (Sale) Trabue, who are now living at New Allensville, in Todd County. Our subject received an excellent education in youth in his native county, and at a proper age attended the City Hospital College of Medicine at Louisville, Ky., one of the most thorough institutions in the country. He commenced the practice of his profession June, 1880, at Allensville; and on the 14th of April, 1881, opened an office at Daysville, four and a half miles east of Elkton, where he is now located, and is doing an extensive practice. He is of a family of physicians, his father and grandfather being leading men in the profession. He is a devoted member of the Christian Church, industrious and enterprising, and bids fair to soon be among the leading ones of his calling.
