JAMES SHIPP was a young preacher of excellent gifts.  He was licensed to 
preach, in Pittmans Creek church, in 1813, and soon afterward ordained.  
He was appointed in 1815, to write the circular letter for the next 
year.  But before the time arrived for the performance of this duty, the 
Lord called him home.
