RICHARD C. HUDSON was born in Stokes County, N. C., December 28, 1824. His
father, George Hudson, was born February 14, 1797, in Culpeper County, Va.,
and was a farmer; moved to Kentucky in 1837 and located on a farm in Shelby
County, where he died.  Our subject has also followed agriculture, and has
a farm of 140 acres on the Ballardsville and Brownsboro Turnpike, eleven
miles from Louisville.  He has always been a Democrat and represented
Oldham County four years in the Legislature.
