Kentucky: A History of the State, Battle, Perrin, & Kniffin, 6th ed., 1887, Shelby Co. RICHARD C. HUDSON was born in Stokes County, N. C., December 28, 1824. His father, George Hudson, was born February 14, 1797, in Culpeper County, Va., and was a farmer; moved to Kentucky in 1837 and located on a farm in Shelby County, where he died. Our subject has also followed agriculture, and has a farm of 140 acres on the Ballardsville and Brownsboro Turnpike, eleven miles from Louisville.
