BELL, was born in Clark County, Ky., March 9, 1862, a son of John H. and Isfana (Reed) Bell, also natives of Clark County. John H., Sr. always followed agricultural pursuits. He moved to Shelby County in 1875, and settled where his son now resides. His father was a native of Kentucky. John H. Bell was educated at the common schools; he owns 113 acres of land, and has devoted his time to farming and trading. April 7, 1886, he married Miss Nannie, daughter of Hiram Bell. John H.
