Kentucky: A History of the State, Battle, Perrin, & Kniffin, ed. 8-B, 1887 Robertson County WILLIAM W. KIMBROUGH, attorney at Mt. Olivet, Ky., was born May 19, 1843, in Harrison County, Ky., and is a son of John M. and Susan (Jones) Kimbrough, natives respectively of Harrison and Nicholas Counties, Ky., and of Scotch-Irish origin. Mr. Kimbrough remained on the home farm until twenty years of age, when he entered Miami University (Ohio), passed through the Sophomore course, and subsequently attended college at Delaware, Ohio. He read law under W.W. Trimble, was fifteen months in the circuit clerk's office, and began the practice of his profession in 1869 at Cynthiana, Ky. He then made his residence in Missouri for three years, in 1875 came to Mt. Olivet, Ky., and served as county attorney from 1878 to 1882, and is now in the active practice of his profession.
