Kentucky: A History of the State, Battle, Perrin, & Kniffin, ed. 8-B, 1887 Robertson County T.L. GREEN was born in Harrison County, Ky., in 1840, and is a son of Fielding and Mary (Doam) Green. Fielding Green was a soldier in the war of 1812 under Capt. Boswell, and his father, Gerard, was a native of Virginia, who came to Kentucky when a young man and engaged in farming near Lexington. The maiden name of T.L. Green's grandmother was Melinda Lyttleton, and she, also, was a native of Virginia. T.L. Green followed farming in his native county until 1874, when he removed to Kentontown, Robertson County, and engaged in mercantile pursuits. In 1875 he married Miss Belle Hoffman, daughter of John T. Hoffman, a farmer of that county. To this marriage there were three children born, named, in order of birth: Liona, Walter and Gertrude. Mr. Green has served nine years as magistrate, is a Democrat, and a member of the Baptist Church.
