RICHARDSON held a conspicuous position in Cumberland River Association, during a period of nearly thirty years. He was born in Pulaski county, Ky., in 1818. He united with Rock Lick church, in 1837, and was there ordained to the ministry, in 1845. He was pastor of several churches, at different periods. From 1854 to 1860, he served the Association as Clerk, and was subsequently Moderator of the body, two or three years. He was a good, earnest preacher, a man of excellent practical judgment, and did much to encourage missions and Sunday-schools, within the bounds of the Association.
