LUCINDA BELEW was born May 20, 1835, and is a daughter of Richard Belew,
a valiant soldier of the war of 1812.  She was educated at Grassy Creek,
Pendleton County, and, in 1868, was married to James H. Barker, who was
born near Crittenden, Grant Co., Ky., was a son of Stephen Barker, was
a carpenter by trade, and died at the age of sixty-six, a member of the
Masonic fraternity.  Lucinda Belew is a member of the Baptist Church.
