Kentucky: A History of the State, Battle, Perrin, & Kniffin, 6th ed., 1887, Oldham Co. EDWARD F. WEEKS, M. D., was born in Oldham County, Ky., December 10, 1860, the second of the six children born to James A. and Susan S. (Logan) Weeks, natives of Kentucky. James A. Weeks has followed farming from boyhood, and now lives in Shelby County, Ky. Our subject was reared on the farm, the pursuits of which he followed until twenty-one years of age, at which time he commenced the study of medicine with Dr. John R. Guthrie, at Todd's Point, in Shelby County, and in 1886 graduated in medicine from the Louisville Medical College. He then located at Jericho, Henry County, and has been constantly and successfully engaged in the practice of his profession ever since. He is a member of the Baptist Church.
