By permission of author. Ohio County. BROTHER WILLIAM CAREY TAYLOR, SENIOR, one of the three preacher sons of pastor Alfred Taylor, became a member of the Church by letter in March, 1864. On March 9, 1865, the Church licensed him to preach. His ordination took place at the Church on July 30-31, 1869, with Baptist Ministers John F. Austin, R. H. Miller and Judson Slade Taylor, his brother, serving as the Presbytery for the Church. A. P. Montague was ordained as a Deacon at the same time. Both of the Taylor brothers and Brother B. F.
