By permission of author. Ohio County W. G. SULLIVAN became the Thirty-Ninth man to serve as the Pastor of the Green River Church on July 28, 1968, by a unanimous vote of 40 members of the congregation, upon recommendation by the Pulpit Committee: Brethren Billy Flener (Chairman), Billy Wood, Bill Daugherty, Willis Shephard and Paul Kemp. He was present for the September 11, 1968, Business Meeting and presided as the Moderator. He and his family became the first to live in the new Pastor's Home (1968) completed shortly after he entered into the pastorate. Total value of all Church Property increased from the sum of $23,500.00 in 1967 to $52,000.00 in 1968, with its completiion. The Sullivan pastorate was routine and uneventful. After being with the Church for twenty-nine months, Brother Sullivan resigned on January 10th, 1961, and completed his ministry on the following January 24th.
