RACHEL SHIELDS, another Charter Member of the Church, on July 16, 1836, was
the wife of William Shields (1804-1885).  She was born about 1798, and died
on August 5, 1864, during the Civil War.  She was the maternal grandmother
of Baptist Minister Birch Shields, a later "Son in the Ministry" of the
Green River Church.  William Shields is buried in the Green River Cemetery,
but the burial place of Rachel Shields is not listed therein.
