A Sesquicentennial History of the Green River Missionary Baptist Church 1836 - 1986, Written and Compiled by Wendell Holmes Rone, Sr., For the One Hundred and Fiftieth Anniversary of the Founding of the Church, 1987. By permission of author. Ohio County. B. W. NEEL became the tenth pastor of the Green River Church, serving from July, 1884 through April, 1886, a period of twenty-two months. His services followed the third pastorate of Brother B. J. Jenkins, and came before the second pastorate of Brother B. T. Mayhugh. His pastorate was successful but uneventful. It is to be regretted that our information concerning him is so meager. He lived at Mining City, in Butler County, in 1886; at Morgantown, in Butler County, in 1889; and at Auburn, in Logan County, in 1890. It was reported in the 1891 Minutes of the General Association of Baptists in Kentucky that he had died that year.
