BROTHER BENJAMIN FULTON JENKINS was converted and baptized into the
Church's fellowship in December, 1859, by Pastor James F. Austin.  After
having served in the Union Army during the Civil War, he was licensed to
preach by the Church on March 11, 1865; and set apart by ordination on
February 11, 1866, by a Presbytery composed of Baptist Ministers Judson
Slade Taylor, John F. James and R. H. Miller.
