JAMESON was born November 23, 1848, on the farm on which he now resides in Barren, now Metcalfe County, Ky. His father, James Jameson, was born abut 1822, in Barren County; he was married about 1847 to Sarah E., daughter of Reuben and Elizabeth (Houk) Hiser. From this union sprang one son, James W. He was married, October 9, 1877, to Martha B., daughter of James M. and Sophia D. (Broadly) Ennis. To them have been born Henry M., Lewis B. (deceased), William V., John and a daughter unnamed. Mr. Jameson and wife have become the owners of about 300 acres of well improved land in good condition and finely cultivated, which is the result of their own industry and good management. In 1880 Mr. Jameson served his district as census enumerator. He is a moral man, a believer in the doctrines of the Baptist Church, and in politics a liberal Democrat.
