CAMPBELL

     Samuel Campbell was born in Prince Edward County, Va. in 1743; moved
to Bedford Co., Va. in 1770, thence to Madison Co., Ky. in 1780 or 81 and
died in Madison Co., Ky. in 1821.  Married the widow of John Kennedy nee
Mary Anderson, daughter of John Anderson and Annie Irvine.  I have heard
that Samuel Carpenter was a Captain of the Revolution and had charge of an
arsenal.
