Kentucky: A History of the State, Battle, Perrin, & Kniffin, 7th ed., Kenton Co. BERNARD BUNGENER (deceased) was born in Germany in 1836, where he was reared and educated. He came to America in 1852, and soon afterward located in Covington, Ky., where he lived until 1866, when he was married, and moved to Vevay, Ind. He lived there until 1868, when he removed to Covington, where he died, in 1885, with dropsy. He was a lumber dealer in Cincinnati, Ohio, for many years. October 2, 1866, he was united in marriage with Elizabeth Dulweber, a daughter of Theodore and Mary (Frauchman) Dulweber, of Cincinnati. Mr. Bungener died May 15, 1885. He was a member of the Catholic Church. Mrs. Bungener was married, November 17, 1886, to Henry Bungener, a relative of her first husband. They now live in Kenton County, near Erlanger, on a farm of about 120 acres. Mr. and Mrs. Bungener are members of the Catholic Church.
