JOHN SIMPSON, deceased, was born in Jessamine County, Ky., July 7, 1845,
the youngest son of William and Letitia (Young) Simpson, natives of
Virginia (see sketch of William Simpson).  Our subject was reared in
this county, and was married in 1876 to Miss Smile Dickerson, daughter 
of Nathan Dickerson of Nicholasville.  Four children blessed their 
union: Ethel, Willie, Bessie and John.  Mr. Simpson died July, 1884.  
His widow owns 375 acres of land in Nicholasville Precinct.
