MASSIE BRYAN, son of William T. and Margaret (Gist) Bryan, was born in
1840 in Jessamine County, Ky.; was educated at Cincinnati, and was
engaged in farming until 1867, when he established a railroad agency at 
Windom and engaged in the grain and commission business until 1883, 
when he established a post office at Windom and engaged in the 
mercantile business.  He was married, in 1871, to Nannie Ashurst, of 
Jessamine County, and to this union have been born five children: 
Maggie, Lewis, Sally, Robert and Massie.  Mr. and Mrs. Bryan are 
members of the Providence Church.
